Patrice Lucien Cochet: Director of Photography

Patrice Lucien Cochet

Patrice Lucien Cochet was born in Paris, France. He studied Cinematography at The American Film Institute where he received an MFA in Cinematography in 2000. Patrice has since then shot 13 feature length films. “Better Luck Tomorrow,” a coming of age story, was in the official dramatic competition at the Sundance Film Festival. “The Good Life,” also a coming of age drama was in the official dramatic competition at the Sundance Film Festival also. It includes cast members Harry Dean Stanton, Zooey Deschanel, Bill Paxton, Patrick Fugit, Chris Klein, and Mark Webber. “Explicit Ills,” a social drama which won the Best Cinematography award at the SXSW film festival, was directed by Mark Webber, and includes cast members Paul Dano and Rosario Dawson. Patrice was also invited to join the prestigious Sundance Director’s Lab to assist the directors with their visual approach to story telling. Most recently, Patrice finished principal photography on the French TV series “West Hollywood”.
Patrice is currently in pre-production on the cop/thriller/drama “killing at Paradise Yard” which is to be shot in Miami and which will be his 2nd collaboration with director Cartney Wearn. He is also about to embark on his second collaboration with writer/director of “Radio Free Albemuth”, John Simon on “Nothing More Than Murder,” adapted from the Jim Thompson novel.
